From rich boldly coloured vests, bags and jackets to the finest of gossamer thin shawls and wraps, Maude Bath takes the world's oldest fabric and gives it a contemporary twist to create an exciting range of wearable art.

Drawing inspiration from the colours and forms of the Australian bush, Maude works mostly with fine Australian merino wool, often mixed with silk and other natural fibres such as alpaca, angora and flax. This combination of materials and techniques gives her clothing and accessories a durability, versatility and practicality that often belies its style and apparent delicacy.

And, of course, because of the inherent variations in the felting process, each hand-crafted piece is totally unique.

A selection of Maude's work is available in an increasing number of outlets across Australia under her designs on you label or you can commission her to make a piece similar to the ones on these pages. See the details below.
